The major hot buttons in here.
So I know you are busy, but I hope you can spare some time to send me a letter or two. About the only thing better than a letter from the outside is when my Mom and Dad come down for a visit, which only happens two or three times a year, so letters keep me alive!

The other problem is the lack of any access to people who can intelligently discuss various topics. The major hot buttons in here are: the latest BET videos; how much the stolen produce from the chow hall is going for this week; and the latest line (i.e. gambling odds) on the current sports in season. These are all just things I choose not to participate in!

So as Regis might say, you are a lifetime; your time would be valued and well spent.

Okay I’ll stop shoveling the bull.

Seriously, I am sorry that I let life get the better of me and did not actively spend time pursuing healthy relationship with my peers.

I know now how important each day is in life and putting things off until later is not always the best approach. Of course the big problem is knowing what you as an individual want and need, and being healthy enough to follow your dreams and apply your efforts toward those goals. Said goals should not only be legal but also morally, spiritually, and intellectually uplifting.

Comments:
Can I ask what you are in prison for? You seem to be well read and literate which makes me wonder what you did to be in there. Curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to ask. I know you can't read this post online, but perhaps your editor friend can comment on this.

[Editor] Good question. I will let Pete answer it himself. I printed out your question, put it in an envelope, and mailed it to him. When I get his reply I will post it here, and maybe also in the main body of the blog. Please be patient, it may take a week or so, and thanks for reading.

Yes, you can ask what I am in prison for, it is a free country, and this blog has an "ask any question you like" policy, with no specific free speech zones. But that does not mean I can or will answer them.

At this point, I would like to be able to deal with the outside would as if I am not an incarcerated person. The web allows a certain amount of anonymity, and I ask the reader's indulgence in allowing me to exist as a non felon at this point.

I am not proud of my criminal background, yet I am forced to deal with it almost every waking minute, and am looking forward to this blog being a way to escape (Note to Corrections Officer reading my mail before it is sent out: I mean escape mentally, not physically) my surroundings from time to time. The one thing the prison system can not take totally away is one's mind. Oh, they make it difficult to exercise it, but not impossible.

So, since society is well protected physically from me, I see no harm in allowing my thoughts to run free as it were. You all as the readers of this blog, also have the right to remain somewhat anonymous.

So I ask you to take me as I am, less the criminal aspects. At some point in the future, I do intend to fully discuss all aspects of my life and I do think that knowledge of the whole is important. But for now, I am asking for a little leeway to enable me to get my feet wet in dealing with the free world from my razor wire encircled existence.
