Way too stressed out.
Yes, I did get your letter yesterday but was way too stressed to write. I have still not made telephone contact with Mom and Dad and have received only one letter from them since the one I forwarded to you.
But let me get back to your letter. I have read all the hockey letters, but will withhold comment for now. I could fill several pages on the subject of volunteers for kid groups. Yeah, I understand your pain on the
hockey coaching thing but the best part is your awareness of how others see your co-coaches. That again is something I did not do, but made assumptions. Facts that confirm or deny your perceptions by others are very important to one’s mental health.
Ah, yes the
NY World’s Fair. Those were the days. One always feels like walking in the shadows of it when visiting
Flushing Meadows Park. Perhaps that is another subject to write about in the future. I do not remember if you and I ever went together or not to be honest. I believe we had season passes, but we never did much of the activities that cost any extra money like the
rides that were on the
other side of the
Grand Central by the
water show stadium.
The Tuesday night hockey sounds like a nice social group. Do you take time to introduce yourselves? Any off-ice meetings? Beers after the game? And no pain the morning after is certainly a good thing. One of the things I was so lousy at was finding some sort of social activity to be among like-minded individuals. But not being a bar person etc., well never mind. I am glad you enjoy the activity.
High fiber equals gas? The guy in the top bunk four feet away seems to take great delight in farting his ass off. It is not very pleasant and there is no place to go when it happens.
