Printing Costs!
I got a few more sheets of carbon paper today. The post is actually printed using a partially rewound ribbon. I printed it out in the bold mode so that each character is hit twice. But this also means that it takes twice as long to print.
I figured out that based on the length of the ribbon, it lasts for fifteen to twenty pages. At a cost of $3.90 for each ribbon, that works out to twenty to twenty-five cents per page!
I figure I can get ten good prints out of one sheet of carbon paper. Roger thinks his son paid around $8.00 for a pack of one hundred sheets. That would lower my printing cost to .0008 cents per page.
I actually continue to use the carbon paper for the drafts even after it starts to fade. I will have to enclose one of my more used sheets as an example.
Things are strange with Frank and Roger. I get no meal invites, but Roger asked me to type a letter tonight, and offered to buy me something from commissary. I said that was okay, I would just take some more carbon paper. He said he was going to have his son send up some more for me.
Frank ditches me, Roger still deals with him, but at same time, he is willing to help me out. Curiouser and curiouser.
